THE DUTCH TREAT STORY AND HISTORY
THE FAMILY BEHIND THE STORE
In December of 2004 the first Mennonite family moved into the Rose Hill area. Within a few months, two more families joined the first & they began holding services in a rented building in Ewing. Among these families was Joe & Emma Gingerich family, who, in January of 2006, opened a little sandwich ship & deli. They named it The Dutch Treat Country Store. The new enterprise was located 3miles east of Rose Hill along Highway 58.
In August of 2008 the store changed hands & Sam Yoder became the new store owner. The small sandwich shop and deli continued to prosper & in the spring of 2009 an addition was added to the original building which nearly tripled the size of the showroom. In time the store grew until it was nearly bursting at the seams & in May 2016 the present facility was opened.
We would like to thank each of our loyal customers for your support in the past years.
